ALİ ŞENTÜRK

Operasyon: Kamusal Alan

The second support of the Faruk Sade Art Fund in 2017 was granted to the publication of the research of the installation titled 'Operation: Public Domain' which Ali Şentürk had documented for the sculptures that were broken down, destroyed, attacked and found controversial in the public arena since the 2000’s. This study aims to search the fate of the statues that have been stolen for political and religious reasons, or sometimes found controversial or erotic and determine their current status on the map of Turkey. The collected archive is being transformed into a documentation book under the guidance of Nevzat Sayın, Büke Uras, Fulya Sade, Bihrat Mavitan and in the editorship of Melis Golar as a publication of Galeri Siyah Beyaz supported by Faruk Sade Art Fund.
